Arrival at International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Later in the day, a tour of the capital is scheduled for you. Visit the monuments of Delhi and enjoy history seeking day. Overnight Delhi.
Delhi – Mandawa (05 Hours)
After breakfast, drive down to Mandawa. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight Mandawa
Mandawa – Bikaner (05 Hours)
After breakfast, visit Mandawa (Shekhawati Region). This region came into prominence in the 14th century when a number of Muslim clans moved into the area and the towns of this region developed into important trading posts on the caravan routes emanating from the ports of Gujarat. This region is famous for painted Havelis (houses) most of which date back from the 18th century. Visit the Havelis in Mandawa.
Bikaner – Jaisalmer (06 Hours)
After breakfast, city tour of Bikaner - A desert town founded in 1488 by Rao Bikaji. Visit the Junagarh Fort. The camel breeding farm here is probably unique in Asia and has thousands of camels. Late afternoon, leave for Jaisalmer. Arrive Jaisalmer and check-in at prebooked hotel.
Jaisalmer
After breakfast, city tour of Jaisalmer. Visit The Citadel – The Fort Built By Rawal Jaisal where a fourth of the population still lives. The Fort also houses Jain temples of the 12th to 15th centuries, Patwon Ki Haveli – a five-storey mansion with carved pillars & murals. Visit Gadsisar, which had once supplied water to the city. Afternoon, excursion to Sam – 45 Km away, is known for its sand dunes & is the venue for The Desert Festival. Get the actual feel of the desert by enjoying a camel ride on the sand dunes and witness a magnificent sunset on the sand dunes. Return to Jaisalmer for overnight stay.
Jaisalmer – Jodhpur / Rohet/ Khejarla (06 Hours)
After breakfast, drive down to Jodhpur / Rohet / Khejarla. The latter are small principalities with direct experience of royalty and reality of village India. The stay here is in an imposing fort. Overnight.
Jodhpur – Ranakpur- Udaipur (06 Hours)
After breakfast sightseeing of Jodhpur visiting majestic Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. After lunch, drive down to Udaipur. Enroute we visit Ranakpur Jain Temples. Overnight Udaipur.
Udaipur
After breakfast, visit the romantic city of lakes, Udaipur. Visit The City Palace which is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan; Jagdish Temple, Sahelion Ki Bari Or Garden Of The Maids Of Honour, which is a small garden with its fountains, kiosks, marble elephants & lotus pool. In the evening, boat ride on Lake Pichola.
Udaipur -chittor – Jaipur (07 Hours)
After breakfast, leave for Pushkar, en-route visiting Chittorgarh. The hilltop fortress of Chittorgarh epitomises the whole romantic ideal of Rajput Chivalry. The fort was sacked 3 times from and on each occasion, the end was "Jauhar". The men donned the saffron robes of martyrdom and rode out from the fort to certain death and the women and children immolated themselves on a huge funeral pyre. Further, drive down to Jaipur. Overnight.
Jaipur
After breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort. Arrive at the fort entrance on elephant back. Afternoon, city tour of Jaipur. Visit The City Palace which has a museum, the observatory built My Maharaja Jai Singh In 1728 and the façade Of Hawa Mahal.
Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (05 Hours)
After breakfast, leave for Agra. Enroute visit the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri: Built by Emperor Akbar In 1569, it was abandoned due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb Of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal & other Palaces. Continue drive to Agra. In the evening experience the splendour of the Taj Mahal. Overnight Agra.
Agra – Delhi (05 Hours)
After breakfast visit Red Fort, the seat of governance of the Mughal Empire for four generations. It was here that the builder of Taj Mahal, Emperor Shah Jehan was held captive for the rest of his life and longingly viewed his creation of love, which he had built for his beloved, Mumtaz Mahal. After lunch, drive down to Delhi.
